First few screen shots of the warping smiley face… something went wrong but I’m not sure what as the “noise” doesn’t seem to be applying itself to the sphere shape..I’m sure I’ll work it out though..
This is one of my favourite songs by Rusko, I really like the video as well as it is kind of telling a story.. day in the life of… kind of style. It’s cool. I also like the style of filming in the video as well as the actual audio.
I have taken an interest in the dubstep kind of beat in this song by Rusko, I like quite a lot of their stuff and think to create a track with a similar tone to it would work quite well with my acronym. It’s quite ‘funky’, bit of a head mess if your not into this type of music maybe?
False Expectations About Reality..
did you know that 99% of images are photoshopped… so No Gisele Bundchen doesn’t look that good doing her weekly grocery shop in Walmart! This figure is truly shocking, (number figure not the figure of the woman) that so many images in the magazines and papers which we read today are edited so much. This truly is giving the general public a False Expectation About Reality…
Maybe I could focus on this as a subject matter? Not sure how I could do this through sound but certainly through visuals some how
in 2008, the london underground was over taken with images like this one. Perhaps a more accurate reading should be “i KNOW I’m being watched”… The whole big brother/london’s watching shizz is quite interesting. We really do live in a big brother world, and many people don’t realise that this IS the reality of the world we live in today.
Artistically I really quite like the simplicity of the poster itself, maybe I could do something similar and quite minimalist for the poster for my FEAR project. :)
this is a video from one of the Warehouse Project dates in october, I have my own videos but the sound quality is even worse than this one but I just wanted to show a video with where you can see a bit of the light show. As well as the music the lights made such an amazing atmosphere in the place. the crowd was buzzing and reacted to the lights aswell as the music. I would like to create something which creates an atmosphere.. maybe a light show would be a good road to go down..

Just a very quick example of False Expectations About Reality, they say that if you inflated a Barbie doll to a life size her measurements would be 39-23-33 (that’s bust, waist, hips), so she’d be 6’0”, weigh 100 llbs and wear a size 4. which is a little ridiculous! So what I’m trying to say with this example is the message which these “doll makers” are portraying on children from a young age, these barbie dolls are totally unrealistic yet children who are introduced to these types of things at a young age see them as role models and want to become like them.
